Cats are lactose intolerant and should not be fed breast milk. Give them soy milk instead.

        Many?

        Source?

I know some can have milk, but that’s an experiment in giving your cat the shits to find out if you’re right or not.

If you really want to give your cat dairy as a treat, give them yoghurt - actual yoghurt, not the sugary garbage masquerading as yoghurt.

Just warm it up to room temperature before you do, and don’t overdo it.

I mean, they certainly will. They SHOULDN’T drink milk though, especially not daily

Some cats can tolerate it just fine. Most are lactose intolerant.

Doesn’t stop cats from loving dairy, though. (It’s the fat. They like the fat.)

Can’t blame the kitties, I’m not tolerating ice cream very well but that never stopped me

            I mean. ICE CREAM.

there’s really nothing like a full fat custard ice cream. I’m just saying. pure heaven in a bowl. or on a cone. or whatever.

even if they make entirely non-dairy versions… or whatever… it’s just not the same. Definitely can’t blame the kitties. Humans have cravings that make absolutely zero sense. Like the majority of fast food joints. ew.

(also the fat and protein in dairy means it shouldn’t be all that regular, or very moderate, if that makes sense? but even if they’re not latose tolerant- which is unlikely- some low-lactose dairy might be okay. if you’re okay with dealing with the shits.)

Anyone out there who’s never tried the delicious treat known as frozen custard should absolutely give it a shot. All the sweet creamy goodness of icecream that’s way more creamy and dense.

If you’re going to a frozen custard joint, I recommend strawberry concretes with hot fudge on top (as in, not mixed in. might take some explaining when you’re ordering.)

For those wondering, a concrete is just a shake that’s a lot thicker than a shake. (ostensibly, some kid kept asking for it to be thicker and thicker, and the frozen custard guy obliged, and at one point made it thick enough that it was ‘like concrete’, and also, able to be flipped upside down and not run out.)

When I have mint ice cream, I lightly poke it so I get the tiniest bit on my finger tip. My one day runs over, licks that tiny bit of the ice cream, and he’s good. Goes and lies down in his bed content.

Until I do that, he is ALL OVER MY SHIT. lol

Certainly shouldn’t drink cow’s milk but you can get cat milk that doesn’t have lactose.

This almost sounds like you’re suggesting that someone out there is milking cats 😄 Cat milk is also cow’s milk but processed such that it doesn’t make cats sick.

As someone with a nut allergy: almond milk, almond flour and other forms of stealth nuts that you can’t see from looking at a product can GTFO. The other milks can stay, you’re cool.

Idk, what to tell you, but every cat we had without fail fucking loved milk. Now I read online that you shouldn’t feed too much of it to them (especially not daily), but I assure you, our cats eat anything as long as there’s milk in it, even pills that they won’t consume any other way, they’ll slurp up like candy if they’re dissolved in a big ol soup spoon or tiny bowl of milk.
