On the other hand, my trans teenage neighbor is upset that all the queer people & allys he’s ever met in our town are “as old as his mom”. Not like I’m any help in that regard.

Oh, I’m not 32 nor did I make this comic. That said, I see 21 year olds as young, so this comic still got me :(

One of my mothers is 50 and MtF trans.

She’s also a massive conservative POS so there’s that. But the trans part never bothered me.

We also had a neighbor who’s probably in their 60s by now who was trans, but this was 2015ish.

I’m glad the kids are finding their community more quickly. Being trans in the 1900s was a lonely, confusing time.

One of my moms is trans, I’ve only ever heard her call herself this… and she’s literally a senior citizen.

Very glad you call her that <3, most of the trans moms I know are called Dad by their kids still.

I mostly go by their chosen name. She didn’t come out until I was 15 so it’s kinda confusing with the parental role thing sometimes. I refer to her to others as mother sometimes but usually not directly.

Then if I’m talking about my childhood I’ll often say “my dad” just cause that’s how it was in the memory, but then I immediately switch to feminine pronouns.

Might be some internal thing I should work on I dunno.

It’s not a high bar, is it? I’m supposed to care more about the idea of AGAB than my own family? Sheesh!

I feel targeted, At least I still look younger than my age 😄 (Awfully close to 32 though, even though, that’s not supposed to be old.).
