That’s not a stray cat. That’s your cat now. You’ve been chosen. Conrats.

I kinda wish I had been chosen by a stray, instead I went to a shelter and let one of the cats there choose me so I guess it’s close enough.

I’ve done that. I’ve gone to rescues and adopted a cat. I’ve gone to animal controls. I’ve foster failed. There’s no bad way to get chosen by a cat. But yeah, getting chosen by a stray on the street has got to be a really special feeling.

That’s also fine! It’s a smaller pool but still a cat chooses you.

My last cat I entered the room at the shelter and she instantly jumped on me and climbed me, the cat distribution system knows, I miss her so much

Haha. The precious girl I ended up with bamboozled me a bit. I picked her up at the shelter and she clinged to me and started purring, then when I got her home I found out she can’t stand being held. She’s a smart one though, I love her.

This has to be Istanbul. It’s a stray in the best possible city in the world to be a stray cat in.

His name is Johan. You are his human now. You may call him Joey or “yoyo” or many other familiar terms of endearment (assuming you are familiar with the European soft ‘j’ sound. 🪀)

You must feed him nutritious and delicious meals, give him affection and love and reverence, and do his every bidding. This is the will of our (sectarian cat over-)lord. I wish you a happpy and harmonious life together. I now pronounce you Johan, and “Johan-adjacent, subservient sycophantic lackey”. You may now scoop his litter.
