Cake day: March 10th, 2025

  • Imo I think while she was being thrown around, the tip broke. Vet guestimates she was only 3-4 weeks old when I brought her in for the x-ray. Of course she was focused on the thoracic region because of the immediate nature.

And because she was so young, it didn’t heal correctly. And took until about a month to two, to finally fall off. Just my two cents, but there is no telling.

  • The vet didn’t think much of it, and her cat person step grandma said “that happen sometimes”. If your not up to speed, she was being thrown around by an eighty lbs. Lab for an hour or two before I got to her. She was almost completely black but had no puncture wounds and the very sent me on my way with some pain meds and a recommendation to get something to keep her separate from the other cats for at night. She only used the hospital tent two nights before being healthy enough to run around by herself.

Here’s a picture of the nub, and it seems fine. No sign of infection and me touching it isn’t bothering her.
