    The chest smiles at you.

Yes it could be a mimic but it could also be a chest full of diamonds.

Thoughts from my 8 int thief.

My players have entered the Feywild recently under charges by an Archfey and I’ve had plenty of signs. Kinda sad they actually read them and are being cautious.

I don’t know what’s more concerning about this, the bird eating a guy or that the guy is just hanging there limp like he’s letting it happen, you’d think someone being picked up to be eaten whole would be flailing about a bit more

The fact there’s no blood has me picturing the bird just clubbing him with the broad side of the beak

        “Ooh! Dinner!” WHAM!

Repeated blunt force trauma, but carefully, to pulverize the bones for easier digestion.

You don’t wanna break the casing, then all the good stuff comes out.

I mean that depends more on the meal really, some of the best ways to use sausage specifically call for breaking the casing, like sausage patties in a breakfast sandwich, or making ground chorizo to put on a nacho platter

Imagine showing this exact environment with that sign (nothing else) to your players. What shenanigans would unfold?
