Easier to exploit his workers in Texas than California

Nothing to do with a trans law (although that is a nice bonus for him)

I wonder how many employees are actually going to make the move. Texas is in the bottom 10 US states for Quality of Life.

Whenever I drive south I’ll add time to the trip before I drive a mile in Texas. I think at worst it took me a few hours out of my way, but I’d much rather that than have to drive those fucking roller coaster overpasses.

      Drivers are whacky aggressive too.

That’s funny. Highways are the one thing Texas actually does really well.

And of course all the ‘enlightened centrists’ on Twitter are posting shit like:

So the state is now a parent, California?

Over this legislation. So they’re either cynically misrepresenting what the law actually is supposed to do, or their reading comprehension isn’t sufficiently developed enough for them to be voicing their idiotic takes in public.

Also, like… the state already has the power to supersede you as a parent, that’s what losing custody is.

Why is this such a big deal to him? This is totally normal here in BC and still no one is forced to be gay or trans. People make best effort to comply with other peoples wishes wrt names/pronouns and go on with their own lives.

      enlightened centrists

Yes, it’s better to see the world in black and white, right and wrong, good and bad. There is no middle ground, ever.

EnLiGhTeNeD cEnTrIsM is not the view that there is no middle ground ever; it’s the assertion that there must always be a middle ground, even in situations where there is no reasonable compromise.

Or, to paraphrase the late James Baldwin: we can agree to disagree unless your disagreement is rooted in my right to exist.

Usually rules Apply. Any article that begins “Elon musk says” should be left well alone.

It serves Musk and the publisher more than it serves me.

If you were a good parent that your child could trust, and you loved your child unconditionally and they knew that you accepted them for who they were no matter what, this wouldn’t be an issue

On one hand, I’m sure few are sad to see him go. On the other paw, he’s an evil piece of shit making a show of being so and trying to force more evil upon an already crappy country by swinging his economic dick around. Vile in a way that’s raising my blood pressure trying to put into words. I guess no amount of misery is enough for some people.

I don’t get what’s wrong with the law. Pupil wants to change their pronouns and wants to keep it private. Why would the parents have even been notified in the first place?

Right-wingers don’t see children as people. They’re aggrieved that the state is involved in their property.

Do it pussy. Fuck off to Texas and let them deal with your narcissistic ass. Good luck charging your cars with that power grid, fuckface.
