I generally try to be kind in these cases. Drug addicts won’t get treatment if they’re arrested, in fact most of the time being arrested just leads to further mental health issues that will lead to more drug use. If your government doesn’t have mental health resources for this there’s not much you can do to help them. Most drug users are just self treating mental health issues because they have no other help. And insulting them or treating them poorly, especially if they are in withdrawal and thus easy to become violent is most likely to just make you the target of violence.
If you truly want to help them, bring attention to and vote for mental health reform that encourages treatment over imprisonment. Otherwise, you’re just going to get yourself or your loved ones hurt for no reason and no help to them or society.
Absolutely could be wrong, and i hope to be corrected if so, but im pretty sure Erin is russia based. Which, considering how their doing right now, i wouldnt hold my breath for mental health reform.
