That’s either a really short bed, or a really wide bed.

I’ve been to the house. It’s mostly open to the cats, and they say they’re not allowed but every visitor says there was a cat asleep on the bed.

If you’re wondering, yes, the house does smell like cat pee.

For those who are, like me, confused about how the cat could belong to a man who died an entire human lifetime ago: the museum houses descendants of Hemingway’s childhood cat (and a bunch of other cats too). The website has a page about them that includes pictures of a few https://www.hemingwayhome.com/our-cats

If you haven’t been, it’s a great place to visit. The cats are everywhere, and they’re very friendly.

Legally it is Florida, so I won’t try to convince you otherwise. Culturally though, the Florida Keys are pretty distinct from the mainland. Nice place, except for all the usual high tourism island pitfalls, but they are alleviated considerably since there is a bridge.

Do we know the polydactyl cats didn’t use their thumbs to do his writing?

I have ~5 polydactyl community cats in my neighborhood, use to be 7. I’ve adopted one of them, and another that is bonded with it that isn’t poly. My dad adopted one of the poly’s as well. If anyone wants them we have free polydactyl cats out here.

      Well, where are you?!

I’m in northern Minnesota and could likely talk my wife into adopting a homeless cat!
