      Actually, Burkina Faso was colonized by the French.

        More recently, it’s been a major target of a Russian influence campaign. Russia also has a military presence there via Wagner.

          i think a large part of the problems also stem from being a deeply religious and fundamentalist majority too, though.

        Glad to see that BF also has some of the lowest life expectancy rates in the world. Deserved. :)

        Weird take considering that the new law is pushed onto the people by a military dictatorship.
