Yeah, that was cleaned the night before.
Chinchillas don’t have an anal sphincter, so the poo just falls out as they hop around.
I’m not 100% sure about chinchilla but ive owned a lot of small animals and that looks like less than a day or two of mess. The blanket looks clean to me. My guinea pig cage looks like that half an hour after I do a full clean.
Searching it up the chinchillas poop 200-300 times a day.
