Me, who picks spells that have their down sides listed at the end and use the time to my advantage.
5d6 damage.
Is there a save? *Beep* times up, take the damage please.
It’s a 3 page PDF, a screen shot would be most of the game.
Who forgot to poison the monk beforehand?
Player vs player? No deal.
Character vs character? Fair game, assuming everyone is in on it. The moment it turns into something personal, it gets stomped.
Same stat block, vastly different class
There’s only one pause button I know that works on GMs, “food’s ready!”
That’ll pause any game. Though it may pause it in 10 minutes, as sometimes you want to hit a stopping point.
Tiny hut.
DVI-amat?
Bahdmi-amut?
Summon fish!
Or maybe summon food and water? (It’s hard to stay dry with a flopping fish around)
Bigby’s crushing fish?
I don’t know the reference material, so I saw Snape from the back in the first picture. I was surprised in the second half.
I try, the shell I need to crawl out of is large, and comfy though. It was easy being the big dumb fighter type, who would interject with things like “can I smash now?” Or asking the party “can we cook this?”
I’ve now got a face character and uh, it’s hard being a face. At least they are overly dramatic, I can stall conversation with drama.
The real treasure is the cabbages we make along the way.
“Magic missile is just a teleportation spell to a gun range. Create food and water? Teleportation. Teleport? Believe it or not, a hack of disintegration”
WANT NOT
Unless they were playing a chicken or rooster person, and meant to say cluck. Or wanted a character with a base, instead of a wanderer.
I don’t need 30 minutes, I use two Trello boards, one for me, one shared with players, the player one is factions and important names, the gm one is hooks (planned or spoken out loud)->session ideas->session notes, and a catch-all that is a list of names when I need one.
I also use azgaar’s map generator. For the world map: https://azgaar.github.io/Fantasy-Map-Generator/
And I occasionally feed all that into chatgpt to generate me some dialog better than I can manage. “Generate me a mission briefing for a mission where the squad needs to…”. (I don’t speak military well)
For a forged in the dark game, I’d love to see easy to use character and/or mission specific devil’s bargain generators, and a way to store what I have, possibly in a better format.
Mostly, I feel like I’m a pretty blank slate.
How hard is it to add new systems? I’m intrigued at how the campaign organization looks like, but currently playing beamsaber, a forged in the dark game.
If you are an adventurer, the one trick to avoiding being eaten by a dragon is to wear a pineapple hat, dough shoes, tomato pants and a cheese shirt. Dragons are known to be quite the gatekeeper, and will refuse to eat the pineapple pizza adventurer.
Same goes if you have cheese undergarments, dough pants and a tomato hat as a Chicago style adventurer
