The west wants China and India buying Russian oil. Removal of all Russian oil from the market would skyrocket prices for oil around the world. Every country would suffer. Even western countries economy’s would take a huge hit from the global price of oil increasing.
Instead, the west wants (and is mostly getting) Russia to sell its oil way way undervalue so Russia doesn’t make substantial money off of it.
