Maybe insurance “covers” therapy, but in practice most insurance pays so little therapists couldn’t live on it, so most therapists don’t even take insurance. Sure they “cover” therapy in the sense that if you can find a therapist who takes your insurance they might pay for therapy, but really it’s fucking insurance they’re going to try to screw you. Even places like Kaiser who have their own inhouse therapists evidently have insane wait times and it’s basically impossible to see someone on a regular basis, let alone the same person. And all of this with “good” insurance.
