All of this really seems to be impractical to enforce, just like the whole encryption ban that is happening in UK/Europe. There are too many outliers to cover every way to circumvent the way the internet actually works and how compliance is actually enforced.
All those IOT devices (thermostats, refrigerators, cameras, printers, etc) would either cease to function OR this is all something that is easily circumvented like the current age verification on websites for those over 18. I don’t see the general internet being forced to adopt this policy or be held liable anytime soon/at all.
As I see it, this would likely affect larger social media platforms, probably most banking/financial websites, porn, and some government sites; which may or may not impact you.
