personally I’m relieved the Democrats haven’t capitulated on LGBT+ rights with the spending bill negotiations (yet, at least)
This is less focused on a recent issue and more on the broader pattern.
We’ll see on the spending bill. Given their recent priorities, they likely aren’t stalling with us in mind. They’re seeing plenty of pressure on other fronts thanks to their past capitulation. In order to keep their grift strong, they need to give the appearance of resistance. They can still throw us to the wolves, so I’ll reserve judgement until the shutdown is resolved.
I mean, Seattle, Chicago, and California did poop all to defend us. Federally, they have us in deathcamps.
Maine is the last blue state I’ve read that gave a damn.
After the orange fuck got elected again almost a year ago, I made a post claiming more or less that at least a certain kind of genocide was coming for trans people in the US. I got shit on a lot for that. I was emotional and used too much hyperbole, but I still stand by the point, because it is starting to ramp up fast.
I realized this too and I let everyone I could know what was coming, but some people still won’t accept it’s happening.
