    I really like Pete Buttigieg. He’s got charisma, smarts, credentials, and the ability to show intellectual superiority in a way that is not condescending or patronizing. An increasingly undereducated country needs that.

    That said, Harris was absolutely nobody’s choice for President, except Biden and herself. It was not a good time to add to the “force down our throat” feeling of that election, and conservatives seem to be triggered by anything LGBTQ+ existing as it being “forced down their throat.”

    Never really had Waltz on the radar until he was nominated. It felt like an odd choice, but he did seem to relate to the electorate a lot more than she did. Honestly, I really don’t know how Biden’s formerly great political instincts abandoned him so completely in passing the torch.
