I see the original further down but how can you tell?? I couldn’t tell at first but now I see some weird things about this one. But also the face of the cat is nicer in this one? And the composition is more balanced with the pile of paper in the bottom left?
How and or why did this version even get made?

I’m guessing ChatGPT. I spy a couple suspicious artifacts that suggest it’s AI, and the style is very close to the O4 model outputs. Happy to be proven wrong though, if someone has a source.

Probably! Look at this:
- The blue mat is broken at a strange place
- The cat’s paw merges into the roll holder
- The paper mysteriously shrinks into a smaller size
- The shadow for one cat is in an entirely different style than all the other shadows. In fact the shadows are quite inconsistent all over.
- He’s holding the water bottle from the wrong side
I think it all smells like an image-to-image AI recreation of the original you just posted.
I have now posted the best of the original I could find, though the quality is still meh, at least it’s not AI lol
