    “So why did you transition?”

“Oh, I kept fighting with my wife over the thermostat. It’s just easier this way. (Until she hits menopause and we start fighting the other way round)”

I recommend getting a heated blanket, then taking up residence under said blanket for the rest of winter.

I’m not even on estrogen and my hands get super cold if the environment is cold. I’m pretty sure I have a sensory difference that makes my body go “Nah, I’m good” when it should be heating them up.

Oh I wasn’t aware oestrogen and testosterone had such effects, very interesting to know :)

PS. This thread (post+comments) is so nice🥰

Yeah. Your extremities get colder on estrogen and hotter on testosterone. Your skin also gets more dry and your metabolism slows. This means you can’t eat as much and aren’t as hungry. It also slows your heart rate and steadies your hands, so you get to be a better sniper 😉

I’ve loved the decreased heart rate and running cooler overall, but ugh, my metabolism has not changed at all! Like, I’m happy I can keep enjoying food, but I’d love to be a bit more soft and fluffy 🐇 my skin though, omg it’s just amazingly soft now!!

Ikr? It’s like every part of my body feels nice to touch. All of my excess body fat feels like a squishy pillow instead of a harsh burden. I almost don’t mind being overweight. Girl fat hits different 🥰

I got a comforter draped over my desk, making a little cozy spot under it where there is a little oil filled radiant heater and many fluffy pillows. I tuck my chair all the way in and pin the blanket behind it, keeps me super cozy without having to blast the heat. Also beeg sweater.
