Maybe he should first stop killing lgbtq+ Palestinians
I honestly appreciate the effort, and I hope that it does indeed help. It’s reassuring to know that you guys are trying to solve the problem.
I’m not sure I understand your angle here. Drama around blahaj protecting trans people is not on us, but on the people that are ignorant on the need for such protection. I see a lot of ignorant, sometimes mildly transphobic comments from other instances that flood any trans points of view here and I think that our top priority should be to prevent that and create a real safe space, not to cater to those instances where those comments stem from. I think any action to make this space more exclusive to trans(questioning) people is a good move. And I honestly don’t care if some ignorant people start creating drama around it.
I’m not sure if this change is a real solution though (it would require very proactive moderation) but it’s worth a try. Imo the best solution is to defederate from huge offender instances (.world for example)
Your curls are beautiful, but managing them is hard. It takes a while to find out which products work, so you could experiment a bit. It looks like you currently don’t have any layers in your hair, which makes the style look a bit bland. Going to a hairdresser and getting some proper layers would probably do wonders. And as someone else said, a ponytail with your hair would look really nice.
This is why it’s important to have spaces (nearly) exclusively for trans people to share their experiences. Cis people are often unaware of their biases and share their experiences thinking it will help when it’s often harmful. Especially on blahaj lemmy there’s lots of cis people and when they come across trans content they feel inclined to chime in. It’s not necessarily a bad thing but when the cis replies are overwhelming the trans perspectives then imo it defeats the purpose of a trans/lgbtq community
You did so well, and I’m really proud of you. I don’t know how you can change your situation. There are people out there who are able to see and appreciate your achievements but I get that it’s really hard to find them. Tbh most people suck but you are awesome and deserving of love ❤️
There is no safe country. There are countries that are safer than others but especially in the West, nationalism and fascism are on the rise and queer people will (and already are) falling victim to it.
The best way to prepare is to seek a strong queer community, and volunteer to help it stay strong and healthy. Even under a fascist government you can be happy, you must only find the right people to surround yourself with. Humans are resilient, and especially queer people (especially queer ethnic minorities and queer people of colour) have lots of experience with surviving under repression.
While you’re at it, join a workers union too because workers rights are just as fragile as queer rights.
