Ear mites are also a thing, and they’re highly contagious. Kittens are especially susceptible to them so I would definitely read up on them if I were you.

This is a common misconception but it’s just not true. As you can see in this video mobility is hardly a problem. It certainly would be possible that a piece could be bent or damaged badly enough to hinder you, but a properly fit set is going to let you do whatever you need to do in a battle. You are certainly right that it was expensive though, full plate was similar to buying a luxury car. It was rare but not that rare, a sign of wealth and social class but not like only kings could wear it. And it certainly was not strictly ornamental.
Thanks, I did feel guilty when my first cat passed, I was the most ignorant then and she had the worst diet and died the youngest. Since then I know I’ve done what I could with the money I could budget, and tried to educate myself so I could do better. Now I try to make up for it by spreading the word to other cat owners in my life and leading by example.
Yeah same, I like to get the paté cans because it’s easy to add water to get him better hydrated.
This exactly, thank you. I’ve had multiple cats during my life make it to old age and each one had health issues from the food I was feeding them. Chronic dehydration leading to kidney issues, chronic high blood sugar from grains and vegetable fillers leading to pancreatitis and diabetes, etc etc. My old man is now on nothing but wet food and is pushing 18. He’s got some issues since I fed him junk for the first half of his life but he’s in decent shape for his age, and I bet if I hadn’t changed his diet he’d already be gone.
Haha it was a funny dynamic, we had a heavily good aligned party, I was the only one out on my own as “evil”. However her whole shtick, as was slowly revealed, was that she had ambitions to take down the leadership of the cult and then replace them with herself and those loyal to her. This meant that the party, who wanted to generally find non-violent means of dealing with conflict, aligned just fine with her own goals of not killing too many of her future minions. So she always acted in what she saw as the best interests of glorifying Her Chromatic Majesty, while still working with the party to stop the cult. Our DM peppered in more dragons and encounters with dragon magic than were in the official books I think, and we all tried to solve them through stealth, negotiation and avoidance. She hated to kill dragons, but if we had no choice but to fight then so be it. If they were too weak to kill us they were culled! She didn’t mind stopping the ritual to keep her from ascending because she believed Tiamat wouldn’t want the world to end, and just wanted as much treasure and followers as possible. So in the end the cult of the dragon queen became the Church of Dragonology, and her influence on the material plane had a net gain 😋
Lol my first character was a cleric of Tiamat. My DM and I worked out a blend of PHB domains so that I had appropriate cantrips, spell unlocks and CD’s. It was a lot of fun playing through the Rise of Tiamat with her, haha 🐉
See if you can check out some thrift stores nearby to experiment and play with clothing fits and styles. Since covid, a lot of them don’t have fitting rooms but in a way that takes some pressure off. Some places are now used to people returning things for fit and will take them no questions asked. You can hit the racks, grab some things you find interesting or cool, try them on at home and quietly return the stuff that doesn’t work for you. Building a wardrobe you love can take a while this way, but it’s easy on the wallet and gives you the opportunity to find some truly fabulous things. Good luck!
For hair removal, I proselytize for sugar wax. You never see ads for it or beauty influencers talk about it because it won’t make anyone any money; can make it and do it yourself for super cheap. It’s basically a mix of melted sugar and lemon juice that’s cooked into a sticky viscous candy you can use to rip your body hair out. Initial set up costs are under $50 (for a wax warmer, spatulas and reusable cotton muslin strips) and maybe a dollar per session in materials afterwards, if that. All it costs is time. You can use it just like a traditional depilatory wax, but because it’s made of sugar it’s water soluble and relatively easy to clean up. It’s also gentle enough that it’s fine to go over the same spot again if you miss some hairs. After several years of waxing every three months or so my hair finally thinned out to where I’m not so self conscious of showing unshaven legs sometimes. I’m cis but I’m hairy so I’ve experimented with a lot of hair removal methods. Sugar wax is an amazing value for its results, and the best solution for broke ass ladies like myself to thin the fur.
Yes, I have these great shallow bowls that are like plates with a raised lip at the edge that I always use for cat food. My old man has gotten ridiculously picky in his old age, and some of the things I had to do were:
Change the style of bowls
Raise his bowl up so it was 1 1/2" off the ground
Separate his water away from his food
Find food with minimal vegetable matter (no pumpkin or pea even)
Swap exclusively to wet food
Vary flavors every feeding (not just day, feeding)
Little booger eats better than I do most days, but he’s no longer fur and bones and he’s gained over half a pound back after being at his skinniest. He’s got his energy back and is looking so much healthier, but seriously what a spoiled boyo.
