As long as you have a the whispies in the area, a bit of powder that is similar to whatever shade you’d use for contour bhtbslightly shifted towards your hair color can give the illusion that the hair is thicker than it is in that area. This partnered with a slightly darker ring around the face (again, contour type shades) help to draw attention towards the face and away from ears/hair/neckline
Personally I’d rather have a character who has approximate knowledge of all things. Like, correct enough that progress can occur, but with enough wrong that they’re hopelessly misguided or just generally not getting things. Bonus points if they’re really arrogant about their intelligence.
