The bigger idiot of my two tore the curtain rod mounting hardware out of the wall failing to sit on the narrow sliding window rail in my bedroom. Every other window in the house has a cat friendly amount of space but noooo consider the novelty of a NEW window, hoomon.
Every spring since then when I open that window I make sure to retract curtains fully so when he tries yet again and falls off he learns not to do that until it’s been closed all winter and he forgets.
This arm is only attached to me, I have no physical control of it and cannot be held responsible for it’s actions.

Was cat sitting last summer, and he’d be looking like that establishing eye contact before going nuts scratching up my fancy chair.
Once they see they’ve got your attention it’s already too late. 11/10 - will cat sit again!
