I have two glasses of water on my bedside table. One that is always empty unless I’m using it and one decoy that is exclusively used by my cat. She doesn’t drink from a bowl so this is what it takes.
One of my cats was really fluffy and would soak up water with his paw and lick it off. Sometimes this was right after he went poo and now I know what cat litter tastes like.
I woke up to one of my cats doing this to my bedtime water a couple years ago so I switched to a lidded cup to avoid pussy hair in my water.

What’s it with kitties insisting on stealing our drinks and letting themselves go thirsty if they’re stuck with a bowl, fountain, or cup of their own?
