In might not bother with sctaching post, since he never uses them. He much prefers cardboard scratchers or a beater carpet we let him tear apart.
Fair. Bitty likes to lay in her nest and scratch the post right next to it. I haveta figure out how to get her a new tower soon. Hers is coming apart
If its the wood you might be able to sink a woodscrew into a post section. Drive it most of the way with a drill, and tighten the rest by hand. Make sure it goes in all the way so nobody gets their claws caught on it
See, the posts seem to be made of cardboard, so I think they’re just weakening from being moved and living through the house fire. It was given to us by someone who’s cat ran away, so it was already preowned. I was thinking about getting a 2x4 and anchoring it in the wood platforms from bottom to top and putting something heavy in the base just for support and balance
My parents have a similar house in their cats’ scratching post, but they never go in! Does yours like that space?
That’s actually the first time Zombii went in! We were excited. Little Bitty likes for us to put her toys in the one at the top so she can throw them and then cry until we toss them back in
Oh cool, so it seems like not just ours are weirded out by that house :D
And that with the toys is just classical cat behavior!
