The myths and legends podcast covers them in a good number of stories. I can’t remember any of them but a cursory search shows that Isis and Ra have a story involving true names and their power. https://mythology.stackexchange.com/questions/4770/which-cultures-have-the-concept-of-a-true-or-secret-name
Edit: I completely forgot…the Jews also believed this in regard to God’s name.
Huh? You said it would be unfunny nonsense if it wasn’t a child that said it. I’m saying the child has nothing to do with it, it’s a cool monster anyway, it isn’t nonsense.
Now you’re saying that it’s not about being unfunny or nonsense, it’s that it doesn’t “have the same hook”. Which is it? Is it nonsense? Or do you just not like the method of delivery?
Have you actually played a ttrpg? Or really heard any jokes at all? The way a line is delivered matters. Saying “i beat the goblin” is completely different than saying “i sliced through the goblin, cutting it in half, its body flying through the air where i punt it between the masts of the sailboat like a field goal”. They might be the same exact outcome, the same exact scenario, but the delivery makes one more fun than the other.
The spider dragon sounds like a dope-ass monster to fight, and the kid sounds like an awesome GM. You can have the cool monster with your GM. The delivery here allows you to imagine the fun you can have.
Put it another way: ‘“imagine there was a small short green goblin that fights” just doesn’t have the same hook as this expression’. No shit sherlock.
In what way is it unfunny nonsense? Seems like a legit monster to me.
If the rod is glowing, probably a fuckton.
A stray voluntarily coming to you is completely different than you going to a shelter or breeder and picking an animal. You’re clearly choosing an attack that makes my argument look ridiculous, when if you look at the majority of adoptions, it’s not stray animals. Even those in other countries I’ve seen (like Peru) you’re not taking those animals in as your own. They’re still a stray. You just help them out sometimes with what you can.
Yeah I really do not understand people that use that argument. If you cannot afford to pay to rescue your cat as if it was a child then you shouldn’t have a cat. Same for dogs. Stop getting pets like they’re just magically going to live without care.

1·6 months agooh, it’s just pathfinder 2? darn. Would love to switch off of PCGen, but there isn’t much for just character sheets for pathfinder 1e from what I’ve found.

Not sure why you are so hellbe
This is my first time responding to you ever.
Conveniently ignoring that.
Seeing clips of something out of context is not the same thing as watching that. I was not ignoring it, it’s just not relevant.
And yes. It is a childrens animated television show. It was made for children and marketed to children. Which is why it was made on Nikelodeon and stars a 12 year old.
Initially, yes. Which is why the first three episodes suck. After that it’s clearly aimed at adults and the creators aren’t going to suddenly move it to a different network. That makes no sense.
You are going mental over a childrens television show.
Like I said, this is my first time literally ever responding to you. No one except you is going mental.
lol judging a show on its trailer is judging a book by its cover. You haven’t seen it, you can’t know if it’s good. I haven’t seen Game of Thrones, except the first episode, just based off of that I can’t say I wouldn’t like it and I’ve seen more of that than you’ve seen of AtLA. You clearly have no clue whether you would like it or not and saying you wouldn’t because it’s a kids show clearly indicates you have no clue what the show is about.

174·9 months agoI play a ton of DnD and pathfinder. I just didn’t get the comic. Especially about the stillborn child, which wouldn’t be stillborn if it was saved. And the final two panels didn’t make sense to me at all so thanks for explaining that. I didn’t get 3 of the 4 panels.

Random passwords are good practice, what isn’t good practice is following specific password requirements like 10 characters 1 uppercase, 1 symbol because that reduces your search space. A 30 or 50 character password generated by your password manager is always the most secure option, the longer the better. I generate passwords that go to the maximum the service allows.
