Kobold Artificer. Favorite class and second favorite race; hell of a combo.
Most of my campaigns: Monster races banned.
I’ve gotten to play a Bugbear once and a Kobold once. They are some of my favorite campaigns.
This was my thinking for the Samurai, we are basically looking at embassy staff and exiles that managed to retain their weapons.
It’s just a different duality those that want to pain the world red and those that want to paint it white.

Actually there are several pretty good settings in the 1860s-80s, California, New York, London, Hong Kong, and Egypt (Suez Canal constructed 1859-1869). The more I looked into it the richer it got.
San Fransisco 1880 would be a plausible setting. The only one that would kinda be out there would be the Samurai and even that’s not too far of a stretch.
Maybe I’m weird but I like it when my party meta-games like this since then I get to mess with them. They never really know what I’m going to do. If they interrupt the long rest they have a con save for a lvl of exhastion (DC 12+ based on the number of times I’ve asked them to roll) no matter what, but the missed perception check does always mean something happened. Once it was a Brownie taking 2 copper and a ration from every player while granting them advantage on every skill check until the next long rest, another was a group of Pixies stealing all of their pants (equiped and unequiped) and hanging them from a tree two days journey away. Ambushes are pretty rare at my table but something happens just about every night.
I love using Fey for this cause if they get bored they love making mortals miserable.
“Gather round children as I teach you the delicate and delicious art of the soft-boiled egg.”
Attention span has nothing to do with it. One of our political parties (Republicans via PACs like the NRA) has relied on Russia for a ton of funding for about 20 years.
Ukraine has impacted that party’s fundraising making the war a positional issue, especially since the party is dying with Boomers.
I don’t always vomit up hairballs but when I do it’s a 2:00 AM in the middle of the carpet.
Note to self, dry face first not balls.
Nah man, losing money to a Tymoran in town means she favors you in the dungeons. It’s her version of a tithe.
Lose 10 bob in town for advantage at the DMs discretion in the dungeon. Hell I give my players an inspiration point anytime they gamble with a Tymoran; they can win the bet or something more important later. I think of it like the Luck domain from 3.5e.
