I got him one of those wands that sticks to the floor so the toy is suspended, and he attacks that thing a ton. First time I pulled it out he played with it for 4 hours straight until he was absolutely exhausted. First time I saw him pant from exertion.

He’s got LOTS of toys that he can catch, but he goes nuts for the laser dot, so I intersperse it in with the other toys.

For context, the laser pointer was on the ceiling.

The whole premise that ‘money can’t buy happiness’ is a tool for the ruling class to try and make the poors become content with their poverty and not try to do anything about the inequality.

I got stuck in a similar situation flying out of Venezuela when I was 15. It was a group trip and circumstances wound up being that all the adults ended up on a prior flight that left on time, like 20 minutes before ours was supposed to. We were on the tarmac in Venezuelan summer for 5 hours for the flight to Miami. We had air, but no AC and they wouldn’t provide food or water for… reasons? It was fucking brutal. I can’t imagine not even having air…

You’ll notice, I don’t support either’s religious claim in my comment. I’m conveying what they believe and why it’s an untenable situation. It is, in fact, a religious war.

To be clear, I support a free Palestine and condemn Israel’s actions.

But, something that you, and most people I see discussing this, are missing is that this isn’t just a political or land issue. This is a fundamentalist religious issue too. Both parties believe they have a sacred right to the land and that the other does not. The two parties ideologies are fundamentally incompatible with anything other than the removal of the other party. There is not, and never has been, a road to a two state solution and the actions we’re seeing now have likely always been the plan for Israel. Israel has squeezed and squeezed the Palestinians until, surprise!, they (or at the very least a subset of them) decide it’s time to fight back. That’s the excuse Israel has been looking for, an event large and egregious enough for an all out assault and to ultimately push the Palestinians into the ocean and remove them from the equation.

Ok, so the same type that argue that trump was the best president we’ve ever had but can’t point to a single reason why.

I don’t think so, no. She didn’t carry the baby for another person and Jesus was of her DNA. She was supposedly made pregnant by god rather than another human (some folks wonder if god actually came down and fucked her or just placed a baby in her womb, which I think is an interesting thing to think about). Either way, surrogacy generally means the woman carries a child that doesn’t have her DNA, but Christian theology, across denominations and sects, all seem to agree he was fully human which would come from Mary.
