It would definitely work. I had my experience bonding with a lifetime cat that I got when she was a baby. Any other time I would adopt a cat I would get an older cat with older and sassy or grumpy cats being more likely for me.

In my opinion and experience, when it’s mixed it’s better. As long as you have a good group where you don’t have any players that complain whenever someone plays in a way they don’t like.
My cat also has two lap settings. Morning brush? OK, I sit. Any other time? “Hell no I’m not sitting on you! You come down to the floor and pet me where you belong!”
