Bathes as frequently as she hunts fish.

Bruh she has two toned hair and it looks good. That woman knows how to use hair dye well. I bet she bathes every day. Or every second day, goblins probably have healthier bathing habits than humans. Humans are so obsessed with cleanliness they don’t give their bodies time to apply its own natural measures. You’re not supposed to wash your hair with shampoo every day, you’ll damage it. And no conditioner above the neck. Your hair’s natural oils will come in and you’ll have healthy locks that shine. Constantly stripping your hair’s natural oils away will just make you dependent on shampoo and conditioner.

  • Wouldn’t it be eat your cake and still have it? Typically you have cake before you eat it, but you don’t have cake after you eat it. So the eating would go first in the sentence, right? Unless the saying is that you want to have your cake after eating it. Either way you gotta use a word that implies the directional flow of time, because technically you do have cake for most of the duration that you’re eating it.

  • Technically if magic were real, then the rules of magic would be the rules of physics. Plus any rules of nonmagical physics.

This is invoked hilariously in Harry Potter and the Natural 20, which involves a D&D 3.5e character being portalled to Magical England. His name is Milo, and he works a little differently than the people native to this universe. For example, he takes actions over the course of exact 6 second increments. And he can heal almost any wound with 8 hours of sleep, with his body magically knitting itself back to full health at the moment 8 hours have passed. He’s not capable of learning new skills over time, his level of proficiency stays exactly the same in all tasks into he levels up, at which point improving his abilities requires investing skill points. He finds the idea of learning and healing gradually to be ridiculous and silly. Also, he can move faster going at a diagonal than a cardinal.

  • Even in nonbinary gender, there’s expectations and they’re horrible. I’m openly dronegender on this account. And people call me a transphobic troll for it, because they say being trans is only two genders, only the respectable genders. It’s why I’m really afraid of being doxxed. I don’t want to face this kind of stigma and discrimination all the time. I want the option of staying in the closet some of the time. Unfortunately, some people on Lemmy have tried to “expose” me by accusing me of being various other people. Thankfully, they’ve been wrong every time so far. But I worry one day they’re going to get it right, and I’m going to suffer. And I’ve seen the people who are accused of being me having to erase their entire digital presence to get away from the violence. That sort of thing was really common on Blahaj Zone, and I resent those who allowed it to happen.

  • I’m sure other people in this thread have done a great job talking about the mainstream stuff, so I’m gonna get weird.

Nonbinary identities aren’t all combinations of male and female gender traits. There are also nonbinary genders. They’re called xenogenders. And nonbinary identities can be any combination of male, and/or female, and/or any number of xenogenders. Xenogenders have traits that you may not typically believe are gendered, or that take the stuff you know in unexpected directions. But what are you expecting from a gender that isn’t like anything you know? It’s gonna seem weird.

Xenogenders are common among otherkin and alterhumans. Otherkin are people who don’t identify as human. They may identify as a real animal, or a mythical or fictional creature, which may be sapient or nonsapient, though nearly all otherkin are themselves sapient. Alterhuman is a broader category that also includes people who only identify partially as human or nonhuman. Perhaps someone who remembers a past life as a wolf, for example.

Sometimes a brain contains more than one person. The brain contains a mechanism for creating a person, an identity, a consciousness, and usually it uses that mechanism once. Sometimes it’s used more than once. It’s called plurality. Plurality can be the result of traumatic mental disorder, but it can also be healthy.
