Good points. Could you control for those factors? Granted thr room features one would be hard to do in an inexpensive way, so third parties may not be the option. Food for thought, thank you.

It’s interesting, I hope this research leads to a higher population to back it up. I mean, you could probably just reach out to different groups of people and pay for the snacks/connect them with a dm/supply the adventure and amp the population much higher.
I’ve debated adding them for one group I do, and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s too much extra work for us, personally. I will ask them to roll, let them react with RP if it’s low, and not state the target (unless they are all rolling for something at once). They are good at rolling with the punches.
Yes, that would be a good use for a dedication feat, and then subsequent feats would add additional abilities. Now as for balancing, I’m still fairly new to 2e, so I should stop there.
