with the qualification that cosmetic surgery on an infant is pretty fucked; what i don’t get about this is using the size of the phallus to judge which way to “correct” the genitalia, that feels like an absolutely insane metric even if you actually think the surgery itself is fine.
Surely the vagina/testicles form before birth? I don’t recall ever hearing about how babies have their groin open up or seal shut which ought to be a rather remarkable event for parents to witness.
So why wouldn’t you use those features to determine the sex of an infant if you truly must perform cosmetic surgery on them? How the hell does it make sense to see a pair of testes and snip off the penis? Who thinks that is the better outcome?
at least from what i’ve seen it generally results in you becoming a thrall, they can straight up just completely control you like an RC car

oh it absolutely does, it makes them have to constantly confront the fact that they’re not a perfectly straight and uncomplicated being, that almost everyone has more nuance to their identity than that, and it makes them very uncomfortable and afraid.
the right wing is full of people who are suffused with internalized bigotry and are constantly bottling up their true identity, it’s sad as fuck

i think we humans are just not in tune with our emotions, we’re so chronically isolated and depressed that we never learn to pick up on small vibes and how to help others deal with tough times.
Animals on the other hand have no such worries, they pick up on clues that you’re sad and do what they can to help, and over time they learn that the human always laughs and feels better when they lay on their chest and incessantly lick their face.

Calling it a shift isn’t accurate at least for sweden, i’d more say that the right has become more extreme.
To the point that even other right wingers keep having to tell the far right party to knock it down a peg, or just straight up fuck off.
The social democrats have sat quite stably at above 30% of the votes for a long while now, and nowadays the 4th largest party is the Left Party which is explicitly socialist.
And in the EU elections the Greens got third place, over the far right party.
