because people who use their brains when buying cars largely stick to well-known brands with proven reliability and ideally a large aftermarket for spare parts where they live.
depending on location and terrain, a number of different cars are a good idea to buy. from a toyota Yaris/corolla in central europe, to the well-known Ford F-150 in america.
i can’t think of where i would even get spare parts for a BYD in europe. that might be a different situation for russia, china, etc.
