Even if you consider some of those included could be Hamas combatants, the vast majority likely were not, so you’re still trying to justify thousands of innocent civilians deaths because of a disproportionate response to the Hamas attack.

International commerce affects all of us. It’s not like those ships were carrying regional goods. You can’t just let those attacks go unchecked. Do you have to destroy civilian population centers? No. But you can’t just ignore the attacks and expect them to go away.

Authoritarians get their power from people who stand on the sidelines. Maybe you aren’t standing on the sidelines, but the constant deluge of worse and worse news is part of the strategy to burn you out and stay home when the election/revolution (depending on how things are going) starts.

I don’t know how you can support the IDF or Hamas, what they’ve done is atrocious. I can’t see how supporting the Israeli civilians and Palestinian civilians would be controversial.
