I want to highlight the “gender studies” professor who claimed that male politicians are not judged by their appearance. It is absurdly common to see them being mocked or flattered for it, even by the media; things that don’t happen to women without ending up being a scandal like this.

At least on paper. I suspect that is too optimistic for a country with so much corruption and of interest to the west, but let’s hope for the best.
By the time the price or risk is prohibitive, there will probably be peace and they will receive a lot of reconstruction aid. They don’t have to worry about the price if they don’t have to pay it.
They say they will let in “more” humanitarian aid, and from the standards they have shown so far, I am not optimistic that people will stop starving.

Their attacks on military bases were legitimate, but attacking civilian populations was not and should never be tolerated. Even if you want to say that the settlers are not civilians (at least it has some logic, unlike israel’s excuses), they killed indiscriminately, including tens of children.
They do so out of loyalty to their country and its people, more specifically, to the economic and political interests of their country’s elites.
For a change, anti-abortionists are consistent. It makes no sense that they claim that fetuses are babies subject to rights, but also almost always that it is okay to abort them for rape.
