The article was submitted by a frequent poster of a wide variety of World News from all over, commonly human rights violations. This guy particularly upped his posting game after explicitly saying he should post more after another prominent poster decided to take a break.

All true, but in honesty this article does read like a propaganda piece.

Despite the sensational headline, the “executions that are on the rise” consist of two people arrested years ago under conspiracy charges and went through the court system. There is no further mention of public flogging beyond the headline. A Yemen official provides almost all the details, and the other accusation was “we found four bodies. Must have been Houthis”

The only credible person interviewed in there only said “Houthis are responsible for human rights abuse” without any elaboration.

I’m not defending any sides or anything, but I’m pretty sure this is a bias or propaganda piece. Could all be true, I don’t know, but it is not a great article.

So maybe the article should have included that extra bit. However, my point is you’re being a complete asshole and were wrong in your first post that accused him of altering the quote. You keep doubling down and moving the goalpost as to why you attacked him in the first place. Now, you’ve decided that he should have done more research.

The kinder, more conversational behavior would have been along the lines of “Sorry I accused you of changing the quote, which you didn’t do. I was wrong. However, that quote sucks because…” And he might have said “oh damn, good catch. I still disagree though because…” And we could talk and not be shitty.
