O! H! N! O!
My state scored 51 out of 50 states.
Holy shit, Arkansas got a B-?? I’m actually kind of proud, go us!
I feel like their methodology is flawed…
New Hampshire with an A+:

Minnesota with a B:
But that doesn’t account for how rapidly bigoted the many rural communities in southern MN are. I feel like that’s what brings it down to a B. There are literal sundown communities still there.
I feel scared going through some of those places when I have to go to Minneapolis, and I’m from South Dakota.
Agreed. Washington state is at rank 30 here, 5 below Tennessee. This ranking methodology is suspect.
I’m guessing they asked a bunch of cis gay people. I know New Hampshire has fine protections legally for cis gay people, but not for trans people. A lot of those high scoring states (including New Hampshire) don’t even let trans people change their drivers license gender without a bunch of complicated steps. Minnesota and Vermont just let you pick when signing up, or submit a single form to change it if you’ve already got your license.
