Ive never seen a satisfying lore reason why elves dont dominate everything everywhere all the time. They should be the smartest and strongest, probably having a low birth rate while they enjoy a long life.
And yet, in mtg, elves are a dime a dozen 1/1s. Why are there a million untrained elves?
I think a lot of DnD players forget that there are whole planes/divine realms filled with nothing but elves tbh. I don’t think dwarves have one (planes they presumably get allowed into Moradin’s realm). Seems a little unfair.
I hate elves. What do you mean they live forever AND they need less sleep? They are double dipping on bonus time.
If they didn’t get all the extra time, elves would never get anything done
They should live for 1000 years but require 22 hours of sleep per day

Drow in the Drizzt series are at least constantly killing each other, which justifies it somewhat
