Heat pumps are pretty efficient both in cost and impact as far as these things go. If your local grid is remotely green you’ve got nothing to feel guilty over imo

Passive cooling as much as possible is really the key, get as much of that rolling as possible. Blinds, shade trees, good insulation and windows. Easily some of the most cost effective ways to prolong your hvac and keep power costs low while not sweating to death
Ceiling fans are great too but im sure you’ve already got those everywhere you can

Yeah, it’s crazy how little energy it takes to conserve the indoor temperature on a neat level.
Though that might be because those blinds work like magic, I’ve always wanted them, and now I can’t imagine life without them.
