For all the undemocratic shit, Israel still has a certain degree of press freedom.
I was trying to say that this press freedom impedes them (the government) insufficiently to prevent them from doing what they want the most, but the fact of it still existing is very actively used by Israeli propaganda.
There are plenty of people involved, some of the baddies may consider them what you said and some may think what I described. Probably more of the former.

I meant that for them to be a problem for that political system they have to pass a certain threshold of power and they don’t do that, while for them to be a benefit for it there are no thresholds.

There are such “attempts” all the time. Maybe they are a bit more material now, but in general this is very soft.
Israelis supporting what their state is now like how this is too - they can allow such newspapers and TV channels and civilized people to exist and talk and protest, thus getting the benefit of pretending that it’s a pluralist western democratic state.
They already do, just not compulsively.
Also war is a very conservative sphere of human activity. A woman wearing a uniform and being a service member is under worse risks than a man, even if she only did paperwork.
Consider that English grammar in general feels like that for everybody whose first language has synthetic grammar (like Slavic languages).
A-and for me it seemed funny and it’s amazing how there are so many dialects of English. It’s really boring to speak a language which is more or less the same everywhere it’s present.

Hospitals being a forbidden target is important, civilians dying is not, because they don’t care about civilians.
It’s sad to see how something intended to become a Jewish nation after 2k years and so on became a dumbed down pidgin version of 1950s’ late European colonialism.
Anything other than siding with Israel would lead to claims of anti-semitism and criticism from the very powerful Isreal lobby, not to mention Republicans.

By far not all American Jews are Israel supporters in this case.
Not all Republicans as well.
There needs to be some way to raise their voice for those who are heavily against what’s happening, which will give such a turn lots of supporters.
And, of course, I hope you do understand that people yelling about anti-semitism in this case are different from people yelling about “white genocide” in only one aspect - they are defending mass murder happening right now, while the latter are just relatively harmless racists.

It’s funny how “second echelon” states’ enthusiasts are making the same mistakes in every century. From the German Empire to Soviet Union to China.
Scale is not the only thing that matters and China is not innovative. It’s functioning as a huge factory for the rest of the world, and making lots of money and influence in process, but for the world it can be replaced, while the world can’t be replaced for China.
Autarky is not possible for China. It could have had a chance at that 20-15 years ago, but it’s gone.
Especially with its demographic and political tendencies.

Some of the Chinese nukes would be shot down in such a course of events - there are systems like THAAD. AFAIK China doesn’t have anything similar, so the response strike is going to be more efficient.
There’s no rule or law preventing two Chinese states from existing on one planet. You pretending otherwise doesn’t change anything.
In Europe there are two states, the Federal Republic of Germany and Austria, coexisting just fine (there’s also Switzerland, no government of which ever pretended to be the unifying center of Germany).

I agree about India, but you seem to overestimate Russia.
The populations and economies are just too different.
If PRC decides it needs the Russian Far East and wants it militarily, it’s going to take it. Maybe only the southern parts, they don’t need all the empty frozen land. Maybe in 20 years, maybe in 40, maybe in 80 years.
And in the very long term, if China subdues Central Asia in any way, then it can get a piece of southern Siberia too, but that’s like trying to predict WWII from Wallenstein’s times.

Israel itself is culturally very similar to Russia. Living in Russia, I’ve always been amused how their public picture is so different in everything.
